Visit of the District Apostle to Chile
In his last visit to Santiago de Chile, District Apostle Passuni conducted two Divine Services: one on May, Saturday 9th -in La Florida congregation- and the other one on Sunday 10th -at Marín church, in which there participated souls of this congregation and of San Miguel; before that, on Friday 8th, the District Apostle had shared a meeting with all the ministry bearers.
At the meeting the District Apostle shared with the ministers, there also participated District Evangelist José Martínez from Bogotá, Colombia, who was in that country for working reasons. This was another cause for special joy. On the next day, the District Apostle held a Service in La Florida congregation and on Sunday in Marín.
Firstly, he shared the greetings from the Chief Apostle and mentioned the last activities they had been able to carry out together: the District Apostles Meeting in Switzerland and a later meeting in Panama and Nicaragua. From all that, he told some of the so many experiences they shared, which turned out to be also valuable for the brothers and sisters of the Chilean congregation.
In the Divine Service of Sunday -in Marín, the District Apostle took the text out of Acts 9: 3-6. During the preaching, he analyzed this Bible word in depth, which speaks about the moment in which Saul (who would later be Apostle Pablo) -on the way to Damascus- hears the voice of God that tells him: why are you persecuting Me?:
“Paul's conversion did not take place in the church, or in the synagogue, or the temple. It was while journeying. That means that when we are with God we can be at work, at home, etc. (...) And we may be experiencing situations that would embarrass ourselves. But there is no situation that may take us so far that we cannot be found by God (…) Jesus told him: I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. Tell me, asked the District Apostle: when I speak about someone of the congregation, am I speaking about him? Or Jesus could reproach us: “You are saying that to me”? If when saying something about someone we were aware of the fact we are saying it about God, would we say it anyway? (...) This word goes beyond the possibility of the Service. We should always bear it in mind”.
After the Divine Service, the District Apostle mingled with the members of the youth, with whom he shared some experiences of joy and in turn they told him their experiences on the youth day and about the preparation for the next one.

Divine Service and concert in “Venado Tuerto” (Bs. As.)
Within the group of activities included in the schedule of June, on 13th and 14th, Apostle Jorge Franco presided a Divine Service in the locality of “Venado Tuerto”. Before that, he had shared, with more than 100 guests, the presentation of a choral concert at the Library of the mentioned place. Then, there was a Service in Colón and another in Pergamino.
The congregation of Venado had been looking forward to the concert. Everybody went to the Library, the place chosen for the event, with a lot of expectation. It had been announced on the radio and in the local newspaper. 43 guests participated for the first time in an activity of our church, many of whom were members of a choir which was also part of the call. On top of this, there came the joy of the visit of Apostle Jorge Franco and his wife.
At 20:00, after the concert, Apostle Franco conducted the Divine Service in the church. In it, he carried out an act of Holy Baptism and Holy Sealing and when the hour had finished, he announced that from that day on there would be Divine Services every Sunday (up to that moment, there were Services only on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month).
On the next day, the Apostle conducted a Divine Service in Colón, in the house of a Deacon who, together with his family, offered his house until the renovation of the church was over.
The brethren of Pergamino could also share a Service with the Apostle in their congregation, and this marked the end of a weekend full of activity and also shared joy.
